Prince Albert is home to a vibrant, resilient and creative community of young people. Recognizing the immense potential within this demographic and the socioeconomic challenges they face, PACT has developed an Academy of Training. This pipeline of empowerment includes mental and emotional well-being, micro-enterprise development as well as leadership and skills training. The Showroom, as a youth led and youth crewed theatre, is one of PACT’s main training grounds and offers young people an opportunity to gain skills and real world experience in the following areas:

We hope that the experience young people gain through The Showroom serves as a catalyst for economic empowerment for them and the wider Karoo community. These opportunities not only generate an income but also promote self-reliance, innovation, and a sense of ownership. We believe that the creation of a supportive ecosystem in which young people receive mentorship and networking opportunities can contribute to sustainable economic growth and the expansion of the events and creative industries in Prince Albert and surrounds.
